Programme

Topics

Topic 1 - Neuromuscular diseases as multisystemic disorders

Topic 2 - Multidisciplinary management of neuromuscular diseases

Topic 3 - Advances in therapies and drug development

Each day of WMS 2025 a plenary session will be dedicated to exploring one of these topics. Speakers will summarise the state of the field on the selected topics and cover key aspects.

Speaker selection policy: When choosing speakers for the WMS Congresses, we aim to achieve a fair balance in terms of gender, geographic representation, and areas of expertise based on the key topics agreed upon by the Programme Committee.

In response to specific feedback from attendees, and to provide a diverse range of expert speakers, symposia speakers and chairs are not allowed to participate in more than one symposium at the Congress.

Additionally, invited speakers and moderators are not permitted to speak at industry symposia.

WMS EDI Statement: The World Muscle Society is committed to creating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment for researchers and clinicians to learn, share ideas, and promote translational science for the benefit of patients with neuromuscular disorders. As such, the WMS Programme Committee encourages all speakers and attendees, to use respectful language, to consider the diverse backgrounds, culture, and native language of our membership, and reflect on the diversity and inclusion in their presented work and its impact on the generalisability of findings for all patients with neuromuscular disorders.
