CME Accreditation and Certificate of Attendance

An application will be submitted to UEMS EACCME® for CME accreditation of this event. A recognition agreement between RCPSC and EACCME® is in place. According to this, the participants who will obtain accreditation certificates in the USA will be able to submit these to their respective national accreditation authority for conversion into national credits.

Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that they actually spent in the educational activity.

This is all achieved through numerous E-poster discussion sessions throughout the programme where delegates at all stages of their career meet to discuss the latest science and research. Particular focus is placed on making sure the more senior attendees are very accessible to those starting out in their careers.

The networking events are designed to be successful to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration.

After attending the event, young investigators in the field, will have had access to more senior investigators for active learning and discussions.

Target Audience

This is the premier annual Congress on neuromuscular disorders, attended by established and young physicians, researchers, therapists, geneticists and neuropathologists from all over the world. The Congress also embraces pharmacists from the industry and incorporates their latest developments into specific aspects of the Congress programme. All healthcare professionals interested in the neuromuscular field, including the different disciplines involved in the study of neuromuscular disorders and the management of patients with these disorders, are welcomed to the WMS Congress.

In accordance with CME/CPD accreditation criteria and standards for commercial support to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor, those in control of the educational content must disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest. Disclosure information is evaluated and conflicts of interest resolved. Disclosure is made to participants prior to the activity. Participants will be asked on the evaluation to assess the objectivity and independence of the event.

All scientific planning committee members, speakers, moderators, facilitators and authors must complete the declaration of conflict of interest form.

Every faculty member must provide a declaration of perceived or actual conflicts of interest as a second slide of their presentation.

The WMS 2024 Pre-Congress Teaching Course and Congress have been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continued Medical Education EACCME® for a maximum of 11 (Pre-Congress Teaching Course in-person, note the Virtual is only 8 hours as the patient examinations were not streamed on the second day) and 22.5 (WMS 2024 Congress) European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
